Sendai City Museum will host the special exhibition "A Challenge from Date Masamune: Answer My Quiz!" based on the unique concept of Date Masamune—the Sengoku warlord and founder of the Sendai Domain—descending into modern times. Having arrived in the present day, Masamune himself has selected museum materials to display alongside the museum staff and poses quizzes about himself. In an atmosphere that feels as if Masamune is speaking directly to you, visitors can deepen their understanding while enjoying the quiz challenge. The exhibition room features 72 precious items related to Masamune, including the Important Cultural Property "Black Lacquered Five-Piece Body Armor" used by Date Masamune, offering plenty to see. By answering quizzes, participants can aim to become a "Masamune Master" for a chance to win "Words from Masamune," exclusive goods, and more. It is an exhibition for parents and children to enjoy together, making it a perfect special exhibition to experience the charms of Date Masamune during summer vacation.
