Sendai Christmas Market 2026

At Nishikicho Park in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, the "Sendai Christmas Market 2026" will be held for 22 days from Friday, December 4, 2026, to Friday, December 25, 2026. Celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, the event features lined-up wooden huts reminiscent of authentic European Christmas markets, selling Christmas gourmet food, hot drinks, original goods, and more. Together with beautifully decorated Christmas trees and illuminations, it is a regular winter event in Sendai where visitors can spend special moments with family and friends. Starting in 2022 and welcoming 350,000 visitors last year, the event will further enrich its venue decorations and content to celebrate its 5th anniversary. Sonar Pocket's "X'mas Love Story." has been selected as the image song, and decoration artist Chiho Sato will oversee the venue's art and decorations. Admission is essentially free, and children of elementary school age and younger enter free on all days; however, on designated dates (December 11-13, 18-20, 24, and 25), a cooperation fee of 1,600 yen including an original mug cup is required. Advance tickets go on sale from 10:00 on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Operating hours are 16:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, 12:00 to 22:00 on Saturdays, and 12:00 to 21:00 on Sundays.
