The "Yorozu Kyogen Mito Performance" will be held, allowing audiences to fully enjoy the charm of Kyogen, a traditional comedic performing art. This year once again features a joint performance spanning three generations: Living National Treasure Man Nomura, the current head Manzo Nomura IX, and Mannojo Nomura VI. The program includes "Kaki Yamabushi" (The Persimmon Thief), where an ascetic monk tries to steal persimmons from a tree; "Fune Funa" (Boats), featuring enjoyable wordplay between a master and his servant Taro Kaja; and "Sanbonbashira" (Three Pillars), where three retainers discuss how to carry pillars. A pre-performance talk by Manzo Nomura will also take place, allowing for a deeper appreciation of the Kyogen world. General ticket sales begin on July 4, 2026, and discounted tickets are also available.
