'~ Mandolin Town Maebashi ~ Sakutaro Music Festival 2026 Mandolin Ensemble Concert' is a music festival expressing the poetic world of Sakutaro Hagiwara through the beautiful tones of the mandolin. In this concert, in addition to performances by mandolin orchestras composed of high school students, working adults, and university students, there will also be recitations of Sakutaro's poems by soprano and piano. In Part I, Gunma prefecture high school guitar/mandolin clubs and alumni volunteers will present movie theme songs and original pieces. In Part II, Megumi Takano (soprano) and Yuka Fujii (piano) will sing songs composed by Rie Muto and Ikuma Dan based on Sakutaro Hagiwara's poetry. In Part III, welcoming Erina Matsushima as concertmaster, multiple mandolin ensembles and publicly recruited general participants will perform marches composed by J.B. Kok, 'Furusato (Hometown)', and more. The venue is the Main Hall of Shoken Gakuen Maebashi Hall (Maebashi Civic Cultural Hall), with free admission and no reservations required. Held concurrently is the 'Maebashi Original Scenery Photo Exhibition: The Nostalgic "Times" of Back Then Right Before Your Eyes'.
