About this event
Held in the Gyotoku district of Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, "Gyotoku Halloween" is a community-wide Halloween event. In 2026, it is scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 25, with the costume parade being a major highlight. Children walking through the streets in various costumes such as witches, Draculas, and characters create a scene truly unique to Halloween. Parade participants are required to make advance reservations, and applications may close once capacity is reached. A group dance event is also planned after the parade. Since there are no changing spaces at the venue, preparation in advance is necessary. In addition, photos and videos will be taken during the event and may be used across various Gyotoku Halloween media. The event is organized by the Gyotoku Halloween Executive Committee and the Gyotoku/Minami-Gyotoku Shopping District Association, and supported by Ichikawa City and the Ichikawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Applications for food stalls, kitchen cars (food trucks), and flea market vendors are also being accepted, making it a day where families can enjoy food and shopping in addition to dressing up in costumes. In past editions, food stalls, kitchen cars, flea markets, and costume contests were held, allowing it to be enjoyed as a local festival. On the day of the event, Gyotoku Ekimae Park will serve as the venue, and the use of public transportation is recommended as there is no parking available. As the event may be canceled in the event of rain, it is important to check the official website or social media on the day for updates.
