About this event
The Tomichan Summer Festival held in Tomisato City, Chiba Prefecture, is an annual summer event. Food trucks and street stalls will line the venue, while energetic and diverse performances and dances will take place on a special stage tower. Visitors can also enjoy dances and musical performances by local Tomisato groups. To conclude the festival, 100 fireworks will be launched into the night sky in celebration of 100 years of watermelon cultivation in Tomisato. Bon dances that anyone can join, such as the Dinosaur Dance (Kyoryu Ondo) and Tomichan Ondo for children, will also be held. The venue has separated smoking areas; pets are not allowed. Please separate garbage and throw it away in designated areas. Drunk driving is prohibited by law, and drivers are strongly urged not to consume alcohol. Since parking is limited, carpooling is recommended. As crowds are expected, running inside the venue is prohibited. Please follow staff instructions and enjoy the event safely.
