About this event

The 21st Setagaya 246 Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Starting and finishing at the Komazawa Olympic Park Athletics Stadium, the course features various sights of Setagaya, including National Route 246 and Tamazutsumi-dori Street, which offers close-up views of the Tama River. The event is scheduled to be held as a certified competition by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) and the Japan Para Athletics (JPA). In addition to the half marathon (21.0975 km), time trials (800 m, 1600 m, 5000 m) will also be held. The half marathon is open to participants aged 18 and older (excluding high school students), with a time limit of 130 minutes. The time trials are open to a wide range of age groups, from elementary school students to high school age and above. Operational volunteers to support the race are also being recruited, aiming together to create a safe and secure event for runners. Set against National Route 246, the main artery running through Setagaya, the challenge of the runners, cheers from along the route, and thoughts of local residents unite to create vitality and connections that move the entire town of Setagaya.
