About this event
Held under the wish to "revitalize the town with music from the street corners," this free-admission music festival takes place on the Lawn Square of Metropolitan Hikarigaoka Park in Nerima Ward, Tokyo. In 2026, it will be held over two days on Monday, September 21 (national holiday) and Tuesday, September 22 (national holiday). On two stages set up on the grass, about 40 bands, including big bands, will perform, allowing visitors to enjoy jazz in an open outdoor atmosphere. Food trucks and merchandise tents will line the venue, with plans to feature specialty goods and gourmet food from Niigata Prefecture. It is a community-rooted event that everyone from children to adults can easily enjoy. On the first day, booths open at 10:00, stage performances start at 11:00, and the event is scheduled to end around 18:30. On the second day, booths run until around 17:30, and stage performances end around 16:30. Fund-raising activities will also be held to support disaster-affected areas of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
