About this event

Held at Hachioji City Fujimori Stadium on Saturday, September 12, 2026, the "4th Hachi-Spo Summer Festival" is a community-based festival offering diverse content such as sports, food, music, fireworks, and sky lanterns. Open to a wide range of generations from infants to elementary and junior high school students and their guardians, it is a popular event that attracted approximately 10,000 visitors last year. In the morning of the event, a "No-Coaching Soccer Tournament" where children play while thinking for themselves will be held. In the afternoon from 15:00, the "Hachi-Spo Heroes" stamp rally offering 40 types of sports experiences will be held for free, and participants who collect 6 or more stamps will receive prizes. The venue will host 33 stalls for traditional festival games and workshops, along with 38 planned food trucks and food stalls, allowing visitors to enjoy great food. On the main stage, 15 groups will perform dance, music, and other acts to liven up the venue. From around 18:00, a "Handheld Sparkler Event" offering 10,000 sparklers will take place in a designated area; elementary school students and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. Furthermore, set-piece fireworks begin at 20:00, followed at 20:15 by the simultaneous release of pink sky lanterns into the night sky in collaboration with "Hachioji Pink Ribbon." Participation in the sky lanterns requires advance registration. A free shuttle bus will also operate from the South Exit of Hachioji Station for convenient access.
