Held in central Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, the craft and art festival 'Ichibamachi 2026' will take place over three days from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20, 2026, across multiple venues centered around the Yamachosuji area and Otaya area. In addition to 15th-anniversary special programs, there is a rich lineup of programs for families to enjoy, including exhibitions and sales of craft works, craft-making workshops by artisans and creators, open factories, and the 'Mono no Ichi' market lined with local gourmet food. The venues are located in the central downtown area and can be toured on foot, and rental bicycle stations at 6 locations in the city are also available. Serving as a place that connects the city and people through craft, this event explores the sustainability of the production region and contributes to urban revitalization by promoting the migration and entrepreneurship of young artisans. Beyond mere exhibitions and sales, it also functions as a business matching venue where artisans and creators engage in direct dialogue to generate new products, aiming to share the charm of Takaoka and create new connections and value.
