About this event
Held in Matsumoto City, the "Toraijin Festival 2026: Seeking Friendship and Peace in Northeast Asia" is an event wishing for cultural exchange and peace in Northeast Asia. The morning session features performances of Korean Buchaechum (fan dance), Japanese traditional dance, and Korean Janggochum (hourglass drum dance). In the afternoon session, visitors can enjoy the Korean-Japanese Food Plaza, shooting games, and band performances. Additionally, a diverse lineup of performances is scheduled, including Jisinbalgi (earth god-treading ritual), K-POP Dance, a restoration of the Jeju Ipchun Mask Dance Drama, and a grand finale of Pungmulnori. The venues are planned to be the Asama Onsen Cultural Center Multi-Purpose Hall and the plaza in front of Hot Plaza Asama; in case of rain, part of the program will still be held inside the Asama Onsen Cultural Center Multi-Purpose Hall. This festival will serve as a precious opportunity to deepen cross-cultural understanding and share wishes for friendship and peace.
