Hiroyuki Appointed 1-Day Director of Komoro City Zoo!

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Nagano Prefecture's oldest zoo, Komoro City Zoo, a commemorative project will be held where Hiroyuki, an entrepreneur and influencer supported by a wide range of generations, will be appointed as the "1-Day Zoo Director." On the day, Hiroyuki and Higeoyaji, deputy editor-in-chief of Gadget Tsushin who will serve as "1-Day Deputy Zoo Director," will participate in the commissioning ceremony and penguin feeding experience. Furthermore, a public recording of FM Karuizawa's 25th anniversary program "Hiroyuki no Yukisakimitei" will take place, where Hiroyuki and others will discuss the theme of coexistence with animals surrounding the satoyama of Komoro. This event is a one-day special program commemorating two milestones: the 100th anniversary of Komoro City Zoo and the 25th anniversary of FM Karuizawa. The commissioning ceremony will be held in front of the Zoo Monument at Sannomon Gate in Komoro Castle Ruins Kaikoen Park, and the talk show will be held at Seseragi no Oka in Otemon Park. In case of rain, the venue will be the meeting room of the Komoro City Civic Exchange Center. In addition, a variety of events celebrating the 100th anniversary are scheduled to be held sequentially toward autumn, including live painting, an adult night ZOO, an owl guide, and celebrations for long-lived animals. Furthermore, local collaborative projects will also be conducted, such as the production and sale of original wooden keychains in collaboration with Sakudaira General Technical High School, and an "Animal Maze" planned by the Saku Chosei High School Quiz Club, promoting the charms of Komoro and creating opportunities to think about the coexistence of people, animals, and satoyama.
