About this event
As an event related to the special exhibition 'Fujieda Railway Expo' held at the Fujieda City Local History Museum and Literary Museum, a walking tour along the abandoned railway track of the 'Shizuoka Railway Sun'en Line' will be conducted. On this walking tour, participants will first learn at the museum about the history of the abandoned Sun'en Line tracks and the 'B15', the only surviving Sun'en Line steam locomotive. Afterward, participants will walk approximately 4 kilometers of the abandoned track between Ote Station and Shin-Fujieda Station, accompanied by expert commentary. While visiting station name signs, light railway remnants, and the paved former site of Fujieda-honmachi Station, you can feel the vestiges of the former railway. The lecturers will be Kenta Fukui and Michihiro Nakamura, researchers of the Shizuoka Railway Sun'en Line. The meeting location is Fujieda City Local History Museum, and the dismissal location is JR Fujieda Station.
