Held in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, 'Nagahama Fes 2026' is a festival connecting alcoholic beverages and the local community. With 'Ekimachi Terrace Nagahama' in front of JR Nagahama Station as the main venue, this event hosted by Nagahama Roman Beer marks its 5th edition this year. At the venue, you can enjoy seminars on special unreleased single malts, an experience where you can blend your own original whisky, and hands-on content using whisky barrel wood. In addition, tastings and comparisons of craft beers from Shiga Prefecture, as well as festival-exclusive cocktails served by bartenders active in the Kansai region, are planned. The food booth section has expanded from last year, with restaurants and food processing companies from within the prefecture opening stalls to offer delicious food alongside drinks. Special programs such as a Nagahama Fes limited stamp rally are also prepared, and the event is expected to be lively with many visitors who love beer and whisky, as well as those looking to fully enjoy the charms of Nagahama City.
