"Nagahama kimono AWARDS 2026" is a new-style kimono event blending tradition and modernity. A kimono contest will be held with Gangi Square in Nagahama City's Hokoen Park, where Nagahama Castle stands, as the main venue. Participants walking along the red-carpeted runway blend harmoniously with the historic streets of Nagahama, creating a spectacular day. In addition to the main kimono contest, visitors can enjoy gourmet food and sweets at the Kimono DE Marche, and experience various activities while dressed in kimono at the Nagahama Culture Workshops. Special guest singer-songwriter and model chay will make an appearance and is scheduled to give a special live performance in kimono.
