About this event
Under the theme of "A local event connecting through 'En' (harmony and ties)," the 14th Minakusa Matsuri is held in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture. Spearheaded by Kusatsu City, Ritsumeikan University Biwako-Kusatsu Campus, and the Kusatsu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local communities, the Kusatsu Junior Chamber, and regional organizations also participate to energize the local area. Scheduled for November 15, 2026 (Sun), applications for food & beverage booths and corporate/group exhibition booths were accepted. Applications for the Minakusa Stage were also carried out, promising lively local performances. In past editions, lost and found items were delivered to the Kusatsu Police Station, and the festival successfully concluded with the cooperation of local residents and related parties. This festival aims to revitalize the local economy and deepen connections among residents.
