Held in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, "OTSUNAGI & SAKE FES 2026 - Otsu Eel x Koshu Festival" is a gourmet festival where visitors can fully enjoy the autumn delicacy "eel" (unagi) alongside Shiga's local sake "Koshu." Guests can taste a diverse selection of Japanese sake provided by sake breweries from Otsu City and throughout Shiga Prefecture, as well as local Otsu craft beer. Furthermore, eel restaurants from within Otsu City gather under one roof, with the greatest highlight being the chance to savor the luxurious combination of exquisite eel dishes and local sake. In addition to eel and sake sales booths, the venue features a rich variety of interactive experience booths to keep visitors entertained. Advance tickets include a mini kinshi-don (eel rice bowl with shredded omelet), an original glass, and eel & sake tickets, allowing guests to enjoy the event with even greater value. It is one of Otsu's major autumn events where you can savor autumn delicacies and fine sake to your heart's content.
