The "Eye Disease Healing Prayer Service & Eyeglasses Memorial Service" held at Tsubosaka-dera Temple on Sunday, October 18, Reiwa 8 (2026) is a Buddhist service to pray for healing from eye diseases and to offer memorial rites for no longer needed eyeglasses. On the day of the event, following greetings from the head priest and a report on the completion of repairs to the Nio statues, lunch (a simple meal hospitality) will be served. The afternoon Eye Disease Healing Prayer Service & Eyeglasses Memorial Service will begin at 13:30. Those wishing to participate on the day are requested to apply by the day before via phone, FAX, or the website inquiry form. If you are only attending the afternoon eye disease healing prayer service, no application is required. Buses will operate on the day of the event from the nearest station, Kintetsu Tsubosakayama Station.
