About this event
Held against the backdrop of the historic white-walled streets of Yame Fukushima, the "Yame Festival" is a celebration steeped in history and atmosphere. Alongside performances of the "Yame Fukushima Lantern Puppets," a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property, Yame lanterns magically illuminate the town, allowing visitors to experience Yame's unique charm throughout the day and night. The venue is packed with events for children and adults alike, including the "Umakamon Fest" featuring numerous food stalls, stage events, and riddle-solving activities. Please spend a memorable time in Yame this autumn. Centered around the "Yame Fukushima Lantern Puppet Performance" at Yame Fukushima Hachimangu Shrine, various elaborately planned events will take place throughout the white-walled townscape area.
