About this event

Set along Furumachi Street in the Taketa Castle Town, the 2nd Furumachi Flea Market will be hosted by Machizukuri Taketa Co., Ltd. Organized under the theme 'Bringing Vitality Back to the Castle Town,' this event provides a space for local residents to interact and foster new connections. On the day of the event, various products will line the fronts of shops along Furumachi Street, ranging from bargain finds such as clothing, miscellaneous goods, secondhand books, and pottery, to handmade items, bread, baked goods, and agricultural produce. Additionally, Forest Marche Vol. 9 will be held concurrently at FOREST on the same street. Artist-run material and B-grade item markets and workshops are also planned. Why not stroll through Furumachi Street at a leisurely pace while enjoying conversations with stallholders, looking for favorite items, and tasting delicious food? Please come and enjoy the local community's initiative to bring vibrancy to the castle town. In the workshop, 'Let's Make a Human-shaped Stuffed Doll' will be held on a drop-in basis for a participation fee of 2,500 yen.
