About this event
An event where a wide variety of "local mochi" from all over Japan gather, allowing visitors to enjoy an array of mochi flavors. At the venue, a total of 30,000 mochi tosses (mochimaki) will take place over 2 days, alongside hands-on and stage events centered on mochi, such as mochi-pounding experiences and mochi quizzes. In addition, panel exhibitions introducing mochi food culture will be held to broadly showcase the appeals of mochi. This event is held concurrently with the "2026 Hot Air Balloon Honda Grand Prix Round 2: Ichinoseki-Hiraizumi Balloon Festival 2026" and warmly welcomes visitors. Admission is free.
