43rd Takasaki Skills Festival

About this event

The Takasaki Skills Festival is a celebration introducing master craftsmanship across various fields. With diverse hands-on booths featuring demonstrations of ladder stunts, ice sculpting, and Daruma doll painting, visitors can experience artisans' skills up close. In addition, Western dishes by chefs and seasonal confections by pastry artisans will be on sale, offering culinary enjoyment. There are plenty of highlights, including traditional ladder-climbing demonstrations by steeplejacks (tobi craftsmen), decorative painting, and ice sculpting demonstrations. Furthermore, craft workshops such as plastering and tile roofing will be held concurrently, making it an event where children and adults alike can experience the joy of craftsmanship.
