SL Japan Heritage Town Gyoda Special Service

In cooperation between Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture, and Chichibu Railway, a special train using the SL Paleo Express, 'SL Japan Heritage Town Gyoda', will operate. Following the special operation held in 2025 to great acclaim, it will also be held in 2026. A timetable optimal for viewing Gyoda City's main tourist attractions, 'Ancient Lotus Park (Kodaihasu no Sato)' and 'Rice Paddy Art (Tambo Art)', has been set, operating two round trips per day between Kumagaya Station and Gyodashi Station. It will operate displaying special headmarks and special passenger car guideboards, and purchasing an SL Set Ticket that includes an SL reserved seat ticket and a passenger ticket is required. After arriving at Gyodashi Station, programs such as touring 'Ancient Lotus Park' and 'Rice Paddy Art' with rental tourist bicycles, and a 'Town Walking Tour' walking around the Japan Heritage town with a guide are planned. During the September operation, town walking tours, city sightseeing by bonnet bus, exhibitions of Chichibu Railway-related materials and photos, food truck stalls, and a moon-viewing beer garden will also be held.
