About this event
This is an event to enjoy "hanachozu" (water basins decorated with floating flowers), which originated at Gyoda Hachiman Shrine. Held again in 2026, the hanachozu adorning the town of Gyoda—such as at Oshi Castle, Gyoda Hachiman Shrine, and Sakitama Shrine—make town walking even more attractive. Visitors can enjoy walking around town while visiting hanachozu spots with a walking map in hand. In addition, hanachozu are also displayed under the eaves of shops and private residences, allowing visitors to enjoy shopping and gourmet food at participating sponsor stores. A magical illumination event different from the daytime will also be held, offering the experience of an atmospheric nighttime walk through Gyoda while touring glowing, light-wrapped hanachozu.
