'Taiwan Faasai 2026' is an event themed around Taiwanese night markets, held for three days from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Takenodai Plaza (Fountain Square) in Ueno Park, Taito Ward, Tokyo. At this event where visitors can experience authentic gourmet food and culture, food stalls serving Taiwanese cuisine line the venue, offering soul foods such as xiaolongbao, lu rou fan (minced pork rice), and da ji pai (fried chicken cutlet), as well as sweets like mango shaved ice, douhua (tofu pudding), and Taiwanese castella. In the market area, numerous Taiwanese goods and classic souvenirs will be sold, and carnival games such as target shooting will also be available. During the festival, traditional performances such as lion dances and San Tai Zi will be showcased, allowing visitors to fully enjoy Taiwan's lively atmosphere. Admission is free, and the opening hours are from 11:00 to 21:00 (scheduled to end at 20:00 on the 30th). The event will be held rain or shine, but may be cancelled in the event of severe weather.
