The 44th Koto Ward Citizens' Festival Central Festival, held in Reiwa 8 (2026), will take place over two days on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, with Tokyo Metropolitan Kiba Park as the main venue. Starting with the opening parade, marching bands and various events are scheduled on the main stage. At the International Exchange Friendship Plaza, visitors can enjoy a multinational bazaar and try on traditional ethnic costumes. The Multipurpose Plaza will feature stalls by local ward merchants and small-to-medium businesses, a charity bazaar, and the KOTO Sports Field where visitors can experience sports for people with disabilities. At the Entrance Plaza, there will be an Eco-Environment Zone, an NPO/Citizen Activity Corner, and on Sunday, a performance of the traditional performing art 'Kiba no Kakunori' (log-rolling). At the Barbecue Plaza, the 'Harubaru Bazaar (Regional Products Fair)' will gather municipalities across Japan associated with Koto Ward, selling local gourmet foods and specialties. The Fureai Plaza will be bustling with hands-on craft booths by sponsor organizations and eateries. Visitors can also enjoy the Ward Citizens' Fureai Stage and neighborhood association/local government stalls. The event may be cancelled in severe weather.
