About this event
Until the construction of Maruko Bridge in 1935 (Showa 10), "Maruko no Watashi" was an important transportation route connecting both banks of the Tama River for travel between Tokyo and Kanagawa. The "Maruko Ferry Festival" is a special event where you can experience this historic ferryboat. On the day, in addition to ferryboat boarding experiences, a variety of programs will be held on both the Ota Ward side and Kawasaki City side banks. The venues are the Tama River Marukobashi Green Space on the Ota Ward side and the Marukobashi Daiichi Square on the Kawasaki City side. The event will proceed in light rain.
