The annual summer vacation event "Summer Vacation Exciting Museum 2026" will be held at the Kita City Asukayama Museum. The event runs from Saturday, July 18, 2026, to Sunday, August 30, 2026. This event offers various hands-on workshops useful for summer independent research projects, including pottery making, traditional Japanese bookbinding notebook making, ukiyo-e appreciation classes, and museum backyard tours. In addition, an in-museum riddle-solving event for children and families called "Come Along! Konkichi Expedition!" will be held, offering an adventure to solve mysteries hidden throughout the museum. Furthermore, a specially set up "Kids' Corner" can be enjoyed even with young children, featuring activities like collage coloring and mask making. All hands-on workshops require advance reservation.
