Asama Star Cross Walk 2026

Held in Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture, 'Asama Star Cross Walk 2026' is a walking event starting from Seseragi-no-Oka. It will take place from Saturday, August 29 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, rain or shine, although route changes or restrictions may occur in the event of rain. Eligibility is open to healthy individuals in 3rd grade of elementary school or older; however, due to the nature of a nighttime mountain event, elementary school students must, in principle, be accompanied by a guardian. Persons with pre-existing medical conditions must obtain a physician's permission, and those requiring assistance must secure an assistant, who must also apply to participate separately. Compliance with event regulations and traffic rules is required. After reaching the goal, participants will, in principle, descend the mountain by shuttle bus to Komoro Station or designated drop-off points in the city. Descending by private car during the night is not permitted. This event features a location close to sightseeing spots and nearby hot springs.
