About this event

The Sezon Museum of Modern Art celebrates its 45th anniversary this year since opening in 1981. After a two-year closure, it will hold its grand reopening on Friday, June 26, 2026, marking the start of a new chapter in a renewed space. In this exhibition, by placing yourself in an unusual space and confronting the works in unprecedented ways, you may be freed from the correct answers dictated by words and text, awakening new sensations through unconstrained imagination. Each person's path, shifts in perspective, casual discoveries—where you passed and why it looked that way. Rather than the exhibition setting a storyline, each individual's experience creates the story. Please return to your own standpoint and quietly witness the miracles/tracks (kiseki) visible from there. Scheduled exhibiting artists include Ay-O, Shusaku Arakawa, Keiji Usami, Mitsumasa Kadota, Tomoko Konoike, Kumi Sugai, Hisao Domoto, Tadanori Yokoo, Max Ernst, Lucio Fontana, Sam Francis, Jasper Johns, Wassily Kandinsky, Anselm Kiefer, Paul Klee, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Miro, Jackson Pollock, Man Ray, and Mark Rothko.
