About this event
The 'Kanan Town Autumn Festival (Danjiri Festival)', heralding the arrival of autumn, will be held in Kanan Town. Through the procession of traditional danjiri (floats) rooted in the local community, this festival prays for bountiful harvests, good health, and longevity. Floats in each district—Ishikawa, Takemikata, and Iwafune—head toward their respective shrines for the miyairi ritual. In particular, a special parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of Kanan Town's municipal organization will also be held on Sunday, November 8, providing a rare opportunity where the town's danjiri floats gather together for the first time in 10 years. On the day, in addition to the powerful danjiri procession, numerous food trucks and sales tent booths will be set up, allowing you to enjoy the festival mood all day long. Please enjoy Kanan Town's passionate festival along with the pulling chants echoing across the autumn sky.
