28th Nishi-Kokubu School District Dodomeki Festival

The 28th Nishi-Kokubu School District Dodomeki Festival will be held around Dodomeki Hiroba and Dodomeki Pond in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Set around the historically cherished Dodomeki Pond, the daytime will feature lively stage events and bazaars. Starting around 19:30 after sunset, fireworks will be launched to beautifully color the autumn night sky and water surface. While not on a massive scale, special setups are arranged every year so visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery reflected on the pond. With stage performances and bazaars on the day, it is a warm, community-friendly local festival for both children and adults. In case of bad weather, only the fireworks will be postponed, with a backup date scheduled.
