📅 Sat, Sep 26, 2026 - Sun, Sep 27, 2026
About this event
The Autumn Annual Grand Festival will be held at Nakameguro Hachiman Shrine. Returning to a full-scale celebration for the first time in 4 years, this festival features mikoshi portable shrine processions and dedicated performing arts. A major highlight is the performance of 'Edo no Sato Kagura' by the Mamiya Troupe, a Nationally Designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. Over the 2 days, dedicated calligraphy exhibitions, local specialty fairs, and food stalls will be set up within the grounds, creating a lively atmosphere. With the grand festival ceremony and the dedication of the Urayasu no Mai dance also taking place, it is a traditional festival deeply rooted in the local community. Located about a 7-minute walk from Naka-meguro Station, this festival held at a shrine honoring the guardian deity of the former Naka-Meguro Village offers an ideal opportunity to experience regional culture.
