Local Food Fest in OMIHACHIMAN is a series of events aimed at not merely viewing the local foods and culinary culture passed down in Omihachiman as tradition, but enjoying them within our contemporary lives and sensibilities, and passing them on to the next generation. In Vol.2, themed around Detchi Yokan, a representative local sweet of Omihachiman, visitors can enjoy food, drinks, miscellaneous goods, and workshops at a market where local producers and business operators gather. In addition, a local talk event featuring producers and chefs as guests will be held to discuss the history, charm, and community-rooted culture surrounding the theme ingredient, Detchi Yokan. At the end of the event, there will be a PINCHOS TIME to taste special pinchos made with Detchi Yokan created by chefs, offering an opportunity to deeply experience Omihachiman's unique food culture through eating, learning, and meeting.
