The 51st Yamato Sakurai Manyo Festival

About this event

This festival is held with the goal of first helping adults appreciate that Sakurai City is a land rich in historical charm, so that when local children grow into adulthood, they can proudly say, "The place where we were born is truly wonderful." As in previous years, scheduled events include the traditional modern-day "Tsubaichi Market," a civic parade, the Sakurai Ondo dance, and dance shows. This year, a sumo tournament for young children will also be held.
